色茶屋

その倹約の趣意がますます徹底的になって、贅沢物の禁止、色茶屋の取り払い、劇場の移転など、それからそれへと励行されたが、その一つとして江戸の娘義太夫三十六人は風俗を紊すものと認められ、十一月二十七日の夜に自宅または寄席の楽屋から召し捕られて、いずれも伝馬町の牢屋へ送られた。
